I liked this episode a lot too. I can understand people thinking that it was slower than the first two episodes since it takes place in one location and the TVA is completely absent, but the planet was really interesting. It felt really unique compared to other settings in the series. The entire series reminds of Doctor Who, not just the time travel, but the theme of taking place in these completely different environments in different episodes.

The reveal that the TVA agents are all actually Variants is a massive one that flips a lot of things about the plot on its head. I think most people were suspecting that TVA sounded pretty sinister, but the fact that they're apparently lying to their agents about who they really are basically confirms that there is a lot more going on that isn't right. It's obvious this is setting up some big things that will affect the plot soon.

I wasn't sure how the whole Loki/Sylvie interactions would play out, if they would be enemies the whole time, work together, or dip back and forth. That made seeing their scenes together really interesting to me, and it felt very deserved when they decided to really start to team up since it didn't happen so easily.

I don't know how Loki reversed an entire building falling over though. Due to the nature of Loki's and Sylvie's powers I was spending a lot of time wondering if it would turn out that a large majority of what was happening was secretly an illusion. I'd be pretty disappointed if that was the case though. Maybe he pocketed one of the dozens of Time Stones laying around the TVA...

It's hard to tell, but the hair looks different in certain scenes. Like when the character is falling from the sky. It doesn't show the character's face either.

Not considering updated re-releases or ports with different content; the first thing that comes to mind is the first Fire Emblem game. Four years between that and Mystery of the Emblem.

Necron is probably one of the most infamous final bosses in RPG history. It just shows up out of nowhere and it's never fully explained what it is. I think the best interpretation of it is that, in a game filled with references to past titles, it was supposed to be a reference to other final bosses in FF games that kind suddenly appear near the end of the game, in particular (spoiler for a game you haven't played yet) Cloud of Darkness, which also a fairly last minute swerve boss. Aside from that I guess it is simply supposed to represent death, to tie into the theme of the game and be a literal version of the concept of the heroes fighting for Life.

And yeah, I figured the ending was narrated by Vivi. It fits his story.

Guessing this other Loki is going to be the first official multiverse character introduced? Unless I'm forgetting someone, they've just been hinting at it (or straight up lying like Mysterio) and considering we are going to be jumping pretty head first into it come December...

Just to point out that the executive producer for this show is also writing Multiverse of Madness. So I expect setups to that movie in this.

Doesn't Ozma refuse to use certain attacks if all your party members are protected against it? You have to make at least one person a sacrificial lamb so that it'll waste a turn using an attack that the rest of the team can tank.

Yeah, PC players will have an advantage in FPS and easier access to keyboard commands. I think the biggest issue most people think of is aiming, and while I don't have a lot of personal experience with cross-play shooters, from what I've heard it's not as bad as you imagine. If you have two good players of equal skill I'd say the PC user has an advantage, but bad mouse aim actually tends to lose to bad stick aim.

Still, while it'll never be perfectly balanced, PC/console cross-play won't be used in Competitive Mode where it would matter the most. And Quick Play is already lacking in balance. Remember, Console players will only be matched with PC players if they're grouped with them, and Groups already throw matchmaking balance completely out the window anyway.

Info highlights:

• By default Console players will be matched with other Console players. If a Console player forms a group that has PC players in it, they'll be matched with Console and PC players. PC players will always be matched with PC players and Console/PC groups.
• Console players can turn off Cross-Play to only match will players from their system. PC players can't turn it off at all for some reason.
• Cross-play with work with all modes except for Competitive. Competitive Cross-Play will work for all Consoles, but PC and Console players will not be matched together in that mode.
• Cross-progression will not be available (boo), but they specifically said "at launch", so maybe in the future?
